Two Lanier Ford lawyers elected to board of ADLA

On June 18, 2016, during the annual meeting of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association (ADLA), two Lanier Ford lawyers were elected to office. Robert Bailey was elected to a position on the board of directors for the state organization; Travis Jackson was elected to the board of directors of the Young Lawyers Section of the organization.

Mr. Bailey regularly defends healthcare providers and nursing homes against claims of negligence. He is experienced in defending other injury-related claims for trucking companies, insurance carriers, and other businesses. In addition, he is the author of two novels: The Professor and Between Black and White.

Mr. Jackson regularly defends employers against claims involving workers’ compensation, retaliatory discharge, employment discrimination, and willful conduct by supervisors and managers.

The Alabama Defense Lawyers Association brings together lawyers of Alabama who handle the defense of civil cases. It facilitates the exchange of information, ideas, techniques, and court rulings about civil defense litigation so that the skills of civil defense lawyers are improved. It also encourages high standards of trial practice, trial conduct, and courtroom manners. Finally, it supports improving the adversary system of jurisprudence in Alabama courts by eliminating court congestion and unnecessary delays.
